Lake Country is located in Okanagan Valley in British Columbia, Canada. Okanagan Valley is prominently known for its four-season climate, wine and wineries, Kelowna wineries also fall in this region.

Arrowleaf Cellars

It is located north of Kelowna, over Lake Okanagan, in Lake Country BC. Due to the presence of the pristine lake, the winery is able to offer productions of Pinot Gris and Merlot. Around 60% of wine production in Arrowleaf Cellars is white wines.

Their special collection includes Bacchus, Mueller, Thurgau Cross, Zweigelt, and other similar productions. There is news of new variety by 2021 as a result of Swiss white grape plantation in 2017.

Ex Nihilo Vineyard

Spreading around 14 acres is one of the best sites for premium Icewine. Ex Nihilo has become a place to enjoy fine wine and arts in Lake Country BC. It is possible with their tasting room that offers the blend of local artists with wine.

A limited quantity of Rolling Stones Icewine originates from here. Other productions include remarkable wines like Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

Intrigue Wines

The winery opened in 2009, but the plantation of Riesling began in 2008. It is located near Wood Lake, near Lake Country BC and received Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Excellence in 2015.

They follow an interesting philosophy to retain the characteristic of fruits in their wines. Hence, they use cool fermentation. The wines offer an authentic experience of vineyards, and the soil it originates from, in taste.

Blind Tiger Vineyard

With a consulting winemaker from West Kelowna, this vineyard is located at the ridge between Okanagan Centre and Winfield. They produce around 14 tons of grapes with Riesling and Gewürztraminer.

They are great producers of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. It is amongst the wineries that have received an organic certificate from the North Okanagan Organic Association. You can always find alcohol and party in this Lake Country winery.

Gray Monk Estate

Gray Monk is one of the more famous vineyards in Lake Country, known for producing prestigious wines like Pinot Gris, Auxerrois, and Gewurztraminer. Located on the beautiful slopes above the lake.

Their Latitude Fifty Series is known to be a great blend available at feasible pricing.  The site also houses The Grapevine Restaurant that offers enthralling events and entertainment in summer.

50th Parallel Estate Winery

Spread in over 51 acres with planting an in over 30-acre vineyard is the 50th Parallel Estate Winery, located in Lake Country. It is known for Dijon clones of Pinot Noir and produces Pinot Gris, Riesling, and Gewurztraminer.

Excelling since 2014, the winery also houses a great restaurant with the $5 million expansion during 2018. Hence, it offers a wholesome experience of wine tasting.

O’Rourke’s Wineries

There are two O’Rourke Wineries. One is located at the south slope of Lake Okanagan, and other with a cavern dug in the bedrocks of Carr’s Landing. O’Rourke’s Peak Cellars is one of the largest vineyards of Pinot Noir in the valley.

The two have become must-visit sites, like other wineries of Kelowna. You can add this to your Lake Country Winery tour, and visit it to witness the 180 acres of vines, which may take hours to explore.

Ancient Hills Winery

A boutique winery in Ellison of North Kelowna. They have been producing on site for more than six decades. They are known for offering different varieties of vino in small quantity.

The grapes are grown in the personal vineyard that follows a European style. Ancient Hills offer great picnic options and wine tasting opportunities with a magnificent view of the valley it is located at.
